Prior to my sabbatical to Southeast Asia, I’d taken almost a 6 year hiatus from dancing, as most of the communities that I’d been contracted to work at were in more rural areas of California. Needless to say, country line dancing was more the norm than any form of Latin Dance.
I’d already had the pleasure of attending the Saigon Latin Festival in Dec of last year, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the Thailand Latin Extravaganza would coincide with my time in Bangkok.

Festivals are always a great opportunity to learn from amazing artists, continue to form bonds with dancers in your local community, and re-connect with people from the past (I was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of people I’d met in the Saigon and Hanoi social scene had come to Bangkok).
