For anyone that’s been to Hawaii, the overall experience at Las Tinajas is much like a luau (delicious food+folkloric dances), but Panamanian style! As I was traveling solo, the hostess decided that I would get the ‘special seat’ for the night. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my table was right off the side of stage, which gave me an awesome, unobstructed view of the show!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Ropa Vieja (a slow roasted stew comprised of shredded and braised beef in tomato sauce, served over rice), and was really impressed by the amazing dancers, beautiful costumes , and live musicians!
All in all, a wonderfully entertaining night, and definitely a must visit for first-time visitors to Panama City.

*From what I remember, showtimes were Tuesdays thru Saturdays at 9:00 pm. I’d recommend making a reservation for the night you’d like to attend to make sure you don’t miss out!
