Wow, I can’t believe how quickly this year has been rolling by! I knew that the frequency of blog posts would probably take a hit due to the holidays, but I can’t believe my last post was in November ’13. A lot has happened since then, both positive and negative, but definitely all of which has been incredibly time consuming. Unfortunately, the old Dance Company that I had previously danced for (F&F Dance Company), officially dissolved at the end of January as the directors felt it was the appropriate time to move forward in their own directions. Of course that didn’t exactly mean we would be slowing our roll by any means. Since the start of February, La Fuerza Dance Company (under the direction of Fausto Felix) has gone on to debut our new number, host a social for Dominican Independence Day, and actually had the amazing opportunity to perform with Luis Vargas in front of 20,000 at Madison Square Garden during the Antony Santos Concert (will definitely put up a quick post regarding the experience in a future post).
Aside from my professional career as an Occupational Therapist, people may know that I’ve also been working gigs as a photographer. Well, this is the year that I thought I’d really make a push in marketing that side of my life, so I’ve gone and finally put up my online portfolio for my photography business: Mapes24photography.com and set up a business page on FB: facebook.com/mapes24photography. This should definitely prove to be a most interesting year, and I hope you’ll continue to join me on this ride! 🙂
